Continuation of Vienna Comet-Centre secured
In Vienna, acib supports a COMET-K2 centre for four more years.
A total of €39 million in public funding was approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Economics to strengthen Austria’s position as a centre of competence and research. With this funding decision, the two ministries are following the recommendation of an international jury of experts. A COMET-K2 centre is also being supported in Vienna with acib, thus securing financing for four years. acib focuses on industrial biotechnology.
The COMET programme promotes the establishment and expansion of research and competence centres and networks business and science in Vienna. A list of all COMET centres with Vienna participation can be found here.
COMET is financed by the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Economy, the federal states involved, and partners from industry and science. The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is responsible for coordination and management. More information about the COMET programme at www.ffg.at/comet
