Quantum leap in energy optimization

The particularly low and thus cost-saving energy consumption by the passive house standard will be covered exclusively from renewable and environmentally sustainable energy sources. The building concept is based on three key factors:

• Energy efficiency
• Use of renewable energy
• Highest usage comfort.

Active - Passive

The passive house concept is based on three main elements: thermal insulation, airtightness and controlled ventilation with heat recovery. The passive house concept is aimed at producing higher quality and more user comfort at a minimum of environmental impact and energy consumption. ENERGYbase as a passive house is therefore an important reference project for reconciling ecology and economy in the construction of modern commercial and office real estate.

Energy of the Future

An innovative aspect is the exclusive use of renewable energy. The passive house standard reduces the energy consumption by 80% compared to standard property. The energy produced from geothermal energy is entirely sufficient for heating and cooling energy requirements. An approximately 400m² photovoltaic plant on the south façade will also cover a portion of the current energy needs. The passive use of solar energy is realized in the ENERGYbase as well. An innovative ventilation concept enables the use of solar energy in summer for solar cooling (solar desiccant cooling) and the use of plants for the ecological, controlled humidification in winter.
